I've listened to this story a couple of times, and there's always something in it to spur me to action.

This is an internet marketing forum with a cool twist -- you get to have your ads displayed at the top and bottom of the page. You earn advertising credits by read and posting in the forum (more for posting than for reading).

I've been participating for a few weeks now, and it's a pretty good forum. It's reasonably active, but not so overrun that you feel like you can't keep up.

As you might expect, click-thru rates on ads are a bit low -- my ads average about 1 click per thousand impressions. But one of my ads on a particularly timely subject did 4 times that for a while.

I took the "one time offer" when I signed up, which gives me free advertising credits each week forever, and if I remember correctly, also lets me earn more credits for reading and posting. With the click-thru rates mentioned above, it may take a little while to be worth the cost, but since my account will stay upgraded forever, it will definitely be worth it in the long run.

Even if you don't want to participate in the forum to earn credits, you can get ad impressions as an upgraded member, but I recommend doing as Russell suggests in his free DVD, and getting active in the forum. Not only do you get more ad impressions, but you get he chance to develop a reputation among others in the industry. Just be sure to post intelligently -- not fluffy "hey great idea" posts that don't ad to the discussion. (Technically, such posts aren't allowed, but you see them not infrequently anyway).

The book fills in a lot of detail that's not in the audio, but in reading the book after listening to the audio, I found that this audio program had done a pretty good job of covering many of the key points of the book.

This is a program that enables you do "lock" your downloadable products so that a license code is needed to open them. From what I can see, whenever someone opens the file, it "phones home" so that you can monitor usage of each license code. If the same license code is being used on too many computers (indicating that someone is making unauthorized copies), you can disable the license code, so the file will no longer open.

Brand any file by turning it into a "self extracting archive" file that shows your ad while unzipping. Great for use with resell rights products which otherwise wouldn't be directly associated with you once you'd sold or given them away, and for making backend offers to people who buy your products.
